A Catholic mission was located in the town of Gilroy.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1999, a group of vengeful spirits of Chumash Warriors went after Father Gabriel, hanging him this mission. Buffy Summers arrived when the priest had been already killed.[1]

In 2003, the place was attacked by Caleb with an unidentified monk as the sole survivor of other five members who lived there. Andrew Wells and Spike went there to investigate, so the monk showed them a secret room Caleb himself had revealed, with the inscription that made him furious: "Non tibi est. Ei solae tractare licet." (Latin for "It is not for thee. It is for her alone to wield.")[2] It refereed to the mystical weapon , destined to be owned by the Slayer,[3] and used by Buffy to defeat Caleb and the First Evil.[4]
