A Catholic mission was located in the town of Gilroy.[1]
History[]
In 1999, a group of avenging spirits of Chumash warriors went after Father Gabriel, hanging him this mission. Buffy arrived when the priest had been already killed.[2]
In 2003, the place was attacked by Caleb with a priest as the sole survivor of other five members who lived there. Andrew and Spike went there to investigate, so the priest showed them a secret room Caleb himself had revealed, with the inscription that made him furious: "Non tibi est. Ei solae tractare licet." (Latin for "It is not for thee. It is for her alone to wield.")[1] It referred to the mystical weapon mʔ, destined to be owned by the Slayer,[3] and used by Buffy to defeat Caleb and the First Evil.[4]
