Colonel Geoffrey Wyndam-Pryce was an officer in the British Army during World War I and a member of the Watchers Council. He was the father of Roger Wyndam-Pryce and grandfather of Wesley Wyndam-Pryce.
When Geoffrey discovered that an apparent recent death in the trenches was actually a vampire, he attempted to destroy the vampire by exposing him to sunlight. The vampire, Angel, escaped by diving into a river and washed up on the German side of the lines, where he learned that the Kaiser had formed an alliance with Kakistos and his current cult. After the rest of his platoon was killed, Geoffrey and Angel were forced into an uncertain alliance to destroy Kakistos' cult. Kakistos was thought to have been killed in a plane crash. Though Geoffrey never learned that Angel was anything more than a common vampire, he nonetheless agreed to let Angel go free in recognition of his assistance.
