Francis was a Froctor Demon living in Los Angeles at the time the Beast appeared in the city to prepare the coming of Jasmine. When Angelus killed the Beast, freeing the sun, Francis mocks the vampire who don't hesitate to beat him. Searching for the vampire, the Slayer Faith Lehane and Wesley Wyndam-Pryce don't hesitate to hit Francis to obtain information.
