Simulated sunlight

Willow attempts to recite incantation

The Simulated Sunlight spell was an attempt made by Willow Rosenberg to create a simulated floating ball of sunlight. The idea was to help Buffy Summers dust vampires using this light source.

Willow stated that the spell was very sensitive and that any non-ritual words can disrupt it. Anya, however, ignored this and continued to ask questions, which resulted in a massive argument that led to Olaf being released from the crystal he was trapped in after Willow ordered Anya to "let it go."

Ingredients[]

Incantation[]

  • "Spirits of life, I invoke thee. Let the gloom of darkness part before you. Let the moonlight be made pale by your presence. Spirits of light, grant my wishes..."

Behind the Scenes[]

Willow Sun Spell

Willow performs the sun-spell to kill a vampire.

In the video game adaption Chaos Bleeds, which takes place in the fifth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, while playing Willow, the player can generate a ball of sunshine to defeat vampire enemies, though without the need of the preparation shown on the series.
