Electrokinesis was the ability to generate and/or manipulate electricity, electric currents, and lightning. Commonly used as an offensive power, it was channeled through the user's hands and could induce varying degrees of damage, but it also could be concentrated to manipulate electronic devices and technology.[1] Magic practitioners dosed in heavy amounts of magical energy would also extrude small electric discharges from their hands.[2]

The Glove of Myhnegon allowed the user, along with some chanting, to summon lightning from the sky and direct lethal blasts of electricity to any target. Gwendolyn Post wore this glove and tried to kill Buffy Summers with it, but died electrocuted when the Glove was removed before she was able to redirect a lighting.[3]
The taser blaster was a techno-advanced weapons created and used by the Initiative to capture hostile sub-terrestrials by projecting electrical energy.[4] The bio-mechanical demonoid Adam was able to absorb electrical energy to strengthen himself. This made Initiative's taser blasters not only useless against Adam, but beneficial to him.[5]

The witch Willow was able to magically generated bolts of harmful electricity. She first used lightning to attack Glorificus, causing the goddess actual pain but no real injuries.[6] Willow also demonstrated the ability to emit lightning bolts from her dark magics, which manifested while flying, when she imbued herself with superior physical attributes,[7] when she magically immobilized others, and used pyrokinesis.[2]
Rack was a powerful warlock who supplied other magic users with magical energy in the form of red electric bolts.[8][7]
The lower being D'Hoffryn could teleport in bolts of lightning, throwing away anyone of a close distance.[9]
Gwen Raiden had the power of creating and manipulating electricity from a very young age,[1] being unable to touch others without causing them harm up until she obtained L.I.S.A.[10] Growing up, Gwen learned to use her ability for a number of functions. She could manipulate electronic devices to change the direction of security lasers, as well as augment herself in combat with her electricity, sending deadly shocks with each strike. When she used this to kill Angel, it briefly restarting the vampire's heart. After killing the human Gunn with her power, Gwen was also capable of using it to revive him.[1]
The Senior Partners had the power to fire lightning bolts, which were powerful enough to hospitalize Beck.[11]
