After the Fall, Part Nine is the ninth issue of the After the Fall comic book series. Written by Brian Lynch with Joss Whedon and illustrated by Nick Runge, it was originally published on June 18, 2008, by IDW Publishing.

Synopsis[]

The second of two Angel issues arrives this month, and it brings with it an all-new artist, Nick Runge (artist on the "First Night" Wesley story). We've kept you waiting long enough... now, it's back to work for Angel. The gang's all here as the forces of evil attack from all sides. But Angel's not just fighting for his own life, the fate of someone he never thought he'd see again hangs in the balance. A new chapter of Angel: After the Fall begins, courtesy of Joss Whedon, Brian Lynch, and Runge.[1]

Summary[]

Angel and his friends defeat the Demon Lords of Los Angeles, who have misunderstood the true purpose of the Hagun shafts. Lorne becomes the new Lord of all Los Angeles.

Angel goes back to the Hyperion Hotel to help people. Connor makes his feelings for Gwen known to Angel.

Wesley takes Illyria, in Fred's form, to his corpse, where she reverts to herself and reveals that Fred is still within her.
