Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Production[edit | edit source]

  • Every Generation is the second Slayer-themed anthology published by Boom! Studios, after Chosen Ones. Similarly, Dark Horse Comics had also published the Tales of the Slayers graphic novel.
  • Celine Loup's "Chosen One" variant cover introduces an unidentified Slayer, active in England in the year 1530.
  • According to Ivan Guerrero, the chief creative officer of comic book store Filbar's, they approached Boom! Studios after the Filipina slayer Matay was featured in a cover for Buffy the Vampire Slayer #5. As requested, the Filbar's exclusive cover is split into three sections in reference to the Philippine flag: "During this period, people could be arrested for being in possession of the flag. We wanted to hint at this historical period somehow, so elements and colors of the flag are hinted at on the cover that Kajo [Baldisimo] designed, without showing the actual flag."[2]

Distribution[edit | edit source]

  • Originally scheduled for April 8th, the distribution of single issues was halted for this same month due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3]
  • Every Generation was ranked the 106th best selling comic issue in its published month, as projected for June 2020 at comic specialty stores.[4]
