Protection runes derived from the Enochian alphabet were utilized in a concealment spell. They had the power to render the user invisible to higher beings, seers, mystics, and technological surveillance devices, though not the naked eye.^{[citation needed]}

History

Upon his return to Los Angeles in late 2003, Lindsey McDonald tattooed these runes onto his body, as well as painting them onto the walls of his apartment, to hide himself from the Senior Partners while he plotted his revenge on Angel. These runes also seemed to grant Lindsey his enhanced physical attributes, transmutation, and telekinetic abilities, as he no longer seemed to possess them after being stripped of said symbols.^{[citation needed]}

The protection runes could be removed by a concealment dissolution spell, performed by the Angel Investigations team while Lindsey was fighting Angel.^{[citation needed]}
