I suspect that the Master is attempting to locate and reunite the dreamers so that he can exploit their powers for some greater evil purpose.

The Dreamers, or the Korta'Kass were a trio of demonic brothers with incredible psychic powers. They were Urd, Skuld, and Verdandi.

Biography[edit | edit source]

They all lacked limbs and had sigils tattooed on their bald heads. All of them floated and each had different metallic objects attached to them. Together, they were so powerful that they could mold localized reality through mental projection. The Master's spirit, inhabiting Angel's body at the time, tried to reunite the Dreamers in order to create a bridge between Earth and the hell dimension of Laibach of the Abyss so Laibach could bring a demon army to Earth and destroy it. Buffy was able to intercept the crate with the final Dreamer, Urd, and slay him, but the Master was able to figure out a way to use the powers of the remaining two by amplifying them with a Deglon Sphere. In a battle in their own realm, Buffy slayed the last two Dreamers, freeing her from that realm and destroying them in the real world as well. Their bodies as well as the Deglon Sphere disintegrated to the Master's distress.[1]

Behind the Scenes[edit | edit source]

  • The Dreamers are named after the three most important Norn from Norse Mythology: Urðr (fate), Skuld (future), and Verðandi (present).

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • After seeing them in a dream, Buffy called them "the patron saints of S and M and self-mutilation."
