David Fury was an American television screenwriter and producer, best known for his writing work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Lost, and 24. He grew up on Long Island (in Plainview) and is married to fellow screenwriter Elin Hampton. David's given surname was Shapiro.
He also made several on screen appearances. He sang "The Mustard" in "Once More, with Feeling" and appeared in "Reprise" and "Smile Time". His voice can be heard, with Marti Noxon's, singing about the mustard stain in Anya's musical flashback in "Selfless." He also appeared as a newscaster singing the first verse of "So They Say" with Noxon in Joss Whedon's Internet musical "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" starring Felicia Day and Nathan Fillion.
