The Darque Wurms were a species of massive, worm-like demons that once rebelled against Illyria under the leadership of their king. However, they were defeated by her and her Army of doom, and their mutilated or impaled bodies left on the grounds and columns of Illyria's temple, where they had launched their attack. The sole survivor was Baticus, whom Illyria kept as a pet, eventually burying him alive as a form of punishment. He was later revived and given Illyria's lost power, but the stress of the power destroyed his body. With his death, the Darque Wurms became extinct.
