Dark Horse Comics logo

Dark Horse Comics is an American comic book publisher which held the publishing license for Buffy the Vampire Slayer (19982018), and Angel comics (19992002, 20112018).

Dark Horse has also held the publishing license for other Joss Whedon works like Firefly, Dollhouse, and Dr. Horrible, as well as works by Jane Espenson (Husbands) and Felicia Day (The Guild).

In August 2018, it was announced that 20th Century Fox was taking the license back, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer would have its last publication at Dark Horse, twenty years after the title's debut in comics.[1]

The Dark Horse logo itself appears in stories On Your Own, Part One and Future Shock, and covers for No Future for You, Part Three and Wolves at the Gate, Part Three.
