Biography[]
Trying to Cure Drusilla[]
- “He's a wanker, but he's the only one we've got with half a brain.”
- ―Spike[src]
Dalton helped Spike and Drusilla by trying to find a mystical cure to heal Dru. He instigated a robbery to steal the du Lac cross evading the Slayer, Buffy Summers in the process. He tried to comprehend the Du Lac Manuscript, which had been stolen by Julia. He was struck on the head with a dictionary, however, when he struggled with the translation. Later Spike was about to dust him for his failure to translate the book and find a cure for Drusilla. Dru stopped Spike short of such violence when she explained the book was in code and required a key. Dalton and other vampires stole the key from a crypt and Dalton once again evaded Buffy. He returned to Spike and Dru and cracked the code, translating a cure for Drusilla.
Assembling the Judge[]
Several weeks later he brought a package to Spike and Dru: pieces of The Judge, a powerful and immortal demonic being who could reform, if all his pieces are brought together. While bringing another piece, an arm of the Judge, he lost it to the Scooby Gang. Drusilla planed to kill him, but Spike saved his life, provided he return with all the pieces of the Judge. Dalton immediately attempted to relocate the remaining piece and successfully delivered it to his Spike and Drusilla. When the Judge, who killed living things by burning the humanity within their spirits, was finally re-formed, he pointed to Dalton and burned him down after sensing his love for reading and knowledge.
