Biography[edit | edit source]

Giles: “All I could locate was an oblique reference to a vampire who displeased the Master and cut off his hand for penance.
Buffy: “Cut off his hand and replaced it with a fork?

This vampire had gained a place in certain records for displeasing the Master and cutting his hand off in penance, only to replace said hand with three large, metal claws.  He hunted in the area of Sunnydale's Weatherly Park, where he practically shredded a homeless man. He also fought Angel, and caused him a heavy injury on his arm.

Claw's severed hand was replaced with a massive claw

Buffy Summers, the Slayer, tracked him down and chased him off the park. Claw tried to attack Natalie French, but was severely frightened when he sensed her real nature. Days later, while in search of Xander Harris, Buffy captured and used the vampire to track down to find the place of residence of the She-Mantis before he cut loose and attacked Buffy. In the ensuing fight, Buffy managed to stake him with a broken piece of wooden fence.
