City of Despair is a crossover comic story between the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Classic and Angel comic book series. Written by Tom Fassbender with Jim Pascoe and illustrated by Cliff Richards, it was originally published on November 29, 2000, by Dark Horse Comics.
Synopsis[]
Buffy and Angel's astral essences are captured and forced to fight gladiatorial battles in the City of Despair, where escape is thought to be impossible.
