Cecil was a Maori from New Zealand and a werewolf who could change back and forth between human and werewolf at will.
Biography
Cecil arrived in Sunnydale by boat with his queen Lamia. He hated America, but came at the request of Lamia to be her champion in the Dust Waltz. Lamia's sister, Lilith, had also chosen a champion to fight for her, but that champion had been killed by Buffy Summers, the Slayer. Lilith then kidnapped Angel to take her champion's place, but thought he was not strong enough. Buffy then stepped in on the request that if she wins, Angel would be freed and so would Xander Harris, Willow Rosenberg and Cordelia Chase, who had been kidnapped by Cecil's werewolves. Buffy used a stake to hurt Cecil, but he recovered in no time. She then used a silver dagger to stab him, which killed him.
