Calynthia powder was a mystical drug that augmented the victim's synapses enough to keep them in restless sleep, which also rendered the victim more suggestible.
Darla used Calynthia powder on Angel to manipulate his dreams in an effort to turn him over to her side.
Behind the Scenes
- A variant of Calynthia powder, referred to as "Calynthia-M", appears in the novel Stranger to the Sun, used in a plot by the vampire master MacKenna in order to alter the Earth's orbit so that one side is left in eternal darkness.
