Synopsis[]

This story takes place in November 2019, before the death of Stephen Reilly was first announced in Buffy the Vampire Slayer #17.
The flashback of Anya and D'Hoffryn is a parallel of when her original counterpart was made into a vengeance demon as well, as seen in "Selfless."
The flashback of the Magic Box in Cleveland takes place before issue #1, when the shop moved to Sunnydale.
The conversation between Anya and Giles appeared as well in Hellmouth, Part Five.
