Buffy the Vampire Slayer #14 is the fourteenth issue of Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic book series. Written by Jordie Bellaire and illustrated by Julian Lopez, it will be published on May 20, 2020 by Boom! Studios.
Synopsis[]
Kendra The Vampire Slayer — and the all-new Scooby gang — must defend Sunnydale from the aftershocks of the Hellmouth and a new threat that feels very familiar! But can they fill the void left behind by Buffy?[1]
Continuity[]
- Buffy reflects on having lost her best friend, having last seen her in Hellmouth, Part Five.
- Buffy discuss with Robin about the time she was away in the Hellmouth (Hellmouth, Part One–Part Five), which lasted much less than the time on Sunnydale (issues #9 to #12).
- Robin mentions knowing Buffy could "slay" a track, as he praised her running abilities in Welcome Back to the Hellmouth, Part Two.
- Giles talks with Kendra about the Watchers Council not allowing to be with her family like Buffy is, as seen in issue #13.
- Giles talks with Jenny about the Hellmouth having "tested" her, as he had acted short-tempered with her under Hellmother's control in issue #8.
- Jenny argues about Giles' role dealing with Slayers, as she had previously commented with him in issue #6.
- Buffy and Robin kiss for the first time. They had a date in Welcome Back to the Hellmouth, Part Four, but Buffy was too nervous to allow Robin to make a move at the time (issue #5).
- Willow returns to Sunnydale after leaving town in You Don't Have to Go Home.
