Buffy the Last Vampire Slayer No. 2 is the second issue of the Buffy the Last Vampire Slayer miniseries. Written by Casey Gilly and illustrated by Joe Jaro, it was originally published on January 12, 2022, by Boom! Studios.
Synopsis[]
- After a coven rally meant to heal the atmosphere ends in tragedy, Thessally seeks out Buffy guided only by instructions from an old friend.
- Despite their shared past, Buffy refuses to train her. Instead, she delivers Thess to The Watcher's Council, certain they'll be more suitable guardians.
- But the Council isn't what they seem, putting Buffy and Thessally in peril, until the intervention of three hooded figures...[1]

- In this reality, Tara did not die in "Seeing Red."
- Thessaly is revealed to be Willow's daughter, a witch, and Potential Slayer. The non-canon novel In Every Generation, published in the same month as this story, presents these same characteristics about Frankie Rosenberg.
- Buffy say that the way she discovered she was a Slayer was more dangerous than Thessaly's. In the original timeline, Buffy went to a cemetery and fought off two vampires so Merrick could prove that she was the Slayer ("Becoming, Part One," The Origin, Part One).
- Thessaly finds a Fiesta Queen ribbon, which Buffy mentioned she had won in "Homecoming."
