Bloodstone vengeance spell was a spell meant to destroy an enemy. Its initial effects resembled those of extreme alcohol intoxication, including euphoria and impaired motor coordination. Over the following hours, the spell gradually weakened the victim's immune system. Once it reached its critical stage, death occurred within two to three hours.

History

In 1996, Catherine Madison used the Bloodstone vengeance spell in an attempt to kill Buffy Summers and eliminate her as competition for the Sunnydale High cheerleading squad. However, Rupert Giles managed to reverse the curse in time with a reversal spell.

Requirements

The spell required a personal object belonging to the intended target. Catherine used the bracelet that Alexander Harris had given Buffy for good luck during the cheerleading try-outs.
