I'm trying to remember - without going back to rewatch the entire series from start to finish - the first episode Buffy used each of her powers (I don't believe she used every single one in "Welcome to the Hellmouth" and/or "The Harvest"). Does anybody have that list somewhere? Also, if someone does have a list of when Buffy (as well as any other main/recurring character from throughout the Buffy-verse - including but not limited to Kendra, Faith, Willow, Tara, Anya, Angel, Spike, Darla, Drusilla, Harmony, and anybody else I might be forgetting), can we try to incorporate that somewhere on this Wiki? --Little kingsfan2005 (talk) 18:29, March 7, 2019 (UTC)
after the show ended, life got a little darker and a lttle duller. but at least we have the dvds. thank the old ones for them.
would a reboot make the pain go away? bloody hell no.
what is needed is a sequel or a spinoff not a bloody reboot.
ok. maybe an alternate world buffy might be interesting but dont dare change the canon.
this is where the entertainment industry always screws up. if it aint broke, dont bloody fix it. savvy?
Just short of twenty years ago, I collected the Diamond Previews
March 1999 through February 2000 catalogs, with the serialized
Rogues Gallery story. Ten years after this, my wife threw them out.
About a week later we discovered the set went for $500-700 on
Dark Horse claims to not have not kept originals of this story, and it can not be reprinted. I've been looking for this story in any format - catalog, pages, or scans - and have gone empty handed for the last ten years.
As of October, a user named famicommander posted a scan of this online. The article can be found here: https://buffy-boards.com/threads/rogues-gallery-finally-scanned.73773/
Can you believe that Buffy the Vampire Slayer turns 20 years old this month? Neither can we! Buffy racked up an impressive 144 episodes over seven season! Hello to all the awesome contributors of the Buffy and Angel Wiki! I'm Mike from the Community Development Team on Fandom. As you're probably aware, Buffy the Vampire Slayer celebrates its 20th Anniversary this year. Where did the time go? I remember when the series first started right before I went to university ...
Fandom is looking to celebrate the 20th Anniversary in some way, and one of the ideas we have is to record the reactions of some UK-based Buffy fans when asked about their favourite episodes, or moments related to the series. At the moment, we're just looking to gauge interest in the idea, as well as to see if the wiki has any UK-based Buffy fans who would be interested in participating. If you are, let us know in the comments …
Another thing I was thinking about recently: the Scoobies' and Potentials' mutiny against Buffy in late Season 7. I used to think they were just being ungrateful dicks, but now that I think about it, it wasn't completely unjustified.
Let's face it: most of Buffy's plans were just plain awful and ended with a lot of people getting hurt needlessly, and her defense of her those decisions ("I'm the Slayer, do it my way because I say so") is not convincing. Case in point: in "Empty Places," she immediately wants to attack Caleb again, literally right after everyone got out of the hospital after they fought him and lost the first time. Not to mention the fact that the others warned her that it might be a trap, but Buffy didn't listen.
Of course, their …
And now I get it is for good reason. Sigh. I'm not sure I'm strong enough to review the wiki pages either.
Hello new world, No, I'm not a rebirth of Connor, but well, I needed some sort of entrance.
I'm a blogger, writer, comic freak, buffy aficionado going back to Season 1 on the WB though I did like the movie previously. (I mean, really, I *still* chuckle at that death scene).
I have lots to talk about here but am not sure where to start... why certain aspects of the movie didn't make it into the show or comics and would have made things easier; my love of certain writers; my Most important Buffy Episodes list if you haven't seen in; what Angel episodes to NOT watch a second time, which artists do phenom work on the series, both Dark Horse and IDW.
I'm also interested in how prolific the BtVS FanFiction culture still in and have been finding so…
Something I've been thinking about recently. A vampire is stronger when they use their "game face," right? If I remember right, in "Prophecy Girl," Buffy told Angel to use his game face before he fought off the Master's goons, and Angel was able to overpower the Beast and bring him to his knees only after he used it.
I think at one point, Angel said that the vamp face does make him stronger, but also increases his bloodlust. I can't remember what episode, though.
Following the release of the "What's Wrong with Buffy's HD?" video on Youtube (3/4/15), some members of the show's original team published their thoughts on the HD remastering of Buffy. By the way, you can find older ones in the video by Joss Whedon, David Fury and Steven DeKnight. Here they are:
"I probably should know more about this before I open my big mouth but from the little I do know Fox has made a mess of remastering the great work of Joss Whedon and Sarah Michelle Gellar and all the other actors, directors and technicians who worked on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The show and the work were important to me at the time and there are fans throughout the world that still get inspiration from the little girl with the big wooden stake and …
You can find the original article here.
This article will have the difficult task of identifying the main issues (framing, brightness/color, editing mistakes...) present in the HD version of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" aired on the Pivot TV channel. For starters, Fox Studios seems to have decided to convert the series to 16:9, which brings many problems. The show was never protected for 16:9, and Joss Whedon, the show creator, made it clear that he wishes for every season to stay in 4:3 (except for "Once more with feeling").
"Adding space to the sides simply for the sake of trying to look more cinematic would betray the very exact mise-en-scene I was trying to create. I am a purist, and this is the purest way to watch Buffy. I have resisted th…
Heys my fellow Bibliophiles! ...Okay, I'm not so great the 'reading all the things' but my friend James is.
He... well... Basically he just never stops. Anyway, he keeps a vlog for Felecia Day's Geek and Sundry where he suggests books based on things you already know and love!
He's done a Vlog specifically about Buffy The Vampire Slayer!!! (Watch him act out some scenes with his friend Dayeanne Hutton!)
Radtastic, right?! He likes attention so, y'know, give 'm some. ...and Read This!
I have suggested and asked members to come up with a new background for the wiki, since our current one is somewhat generic and not very indicative/suggestive of any of the iconic characters of either shows. Please post ideas for the wiki's new background.
Ideas that have been presented so far:
- a background that features the main/core characters of both shows
- a familiar location (i.e., Sunnydale graveyard, Sunnydale High, the Hellmouth, the Hellmouth crater)
- titular characters on either side
- use of Buffy the Vampire Slayer opening sequence
The titles says it all. Just vote in the following link:

I think I've finally figured it out! Regarding the ultimate antagonist of a series, if there's multiple BigBads then this only applies to the final or ultimate one (like The First)
Spoilers for all four Joss Whedon series follow
With the exception of the villain in Dollhouse, who had unique circumstances around him, the ultimate antagonist of Joss Whedon series is never killed off.
Regarding the BigBads:
- In Buffy, you have The First, final antagonist and most dangerous
- In Angel, you have the Senior Partners, who run Wolfram & Hart
- In Firefly you have the Parliament, who run the Alliance
- In Avengers you have Thanos, the guy behind Loki and Ronan who is confirmed as the villain of Avengers: Infinity War
- The First cannot be killed, but at …
So, I finally finished Season 7 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and I was wondering, did Buffy kill The First? We see Buffy slowly stand up and swing her scythe where The First was last seen in front of her.
Now I know plenty of you are going to say he survived because he's not a physical being. But does the scythe have the power to kill The First?
Willow said The First is "scrunched", I don't know if that's supposed to mean he's dead or simply trapped below what used to be the Hellmouth. Many have argued the latter since The First is a manifestation of all evil and if it dies, which it can't, then there would be no more evil left, and obviously that can't have happened because there's still evil in Season 5 of Angel (which I plan on watching s…
Hey there, Buffy fans! Adam is currently squaring off against RoboCop and six other classic cyborgs, so we thought we’d give you a heads up.
Head over to this blog to choose your favorite cyborgs!
Vampires are some of the most powerful supernatural creatures of all, so it takes a certain kind of brave, or a certain kind of crazy, to want to take a shot at them. From Dracula to Lestat, and all the way up to the sparkly lads from Twilight, there’s no shortage of fanged nightstalkers in movies, video games, and books. Fortunately there’s no shortage of Vampire Slayers either. What we want to know is, who do you think the Ultimate Vampire Slayers are? Are they among the ranks of those like Simon Belmont, Van Helsing, or Buffy?
In honor of the release of Konami’s Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, we’re having you assemble the ultimate Vampire Slayer team! Visit the blog on the Castlevania Wikia and submit your team in the comments!

Hello Buffyverse community.
I've recently spent some time completing an Angel soundtrack playlist over on Spotify. I've used this wiki's episode pages to collect the music, so hopefully the playlist is fairly complete.
I used a similar method when I made the Buffy soundtrack playlist years ago, which some of you may be following. If you use Spotify, I'd appreciate it if you check them out; I'd love feedback as well either on this blog post, my talk-page, or even on my blogspot.

Does anybody else find it weird that these items hurt vampires and some other species of demons? The show(s) never really expounded on the concept of the Christian God, as most of them say that there was no word on whether he actually exists/existed, and yet these items consecrated under the Christian God's name actually deters or hurts vampires.
On the other hand, spells invoking several deities from other religion (i.e., Kali, Minerva, Hecate, Osiris) seem to imply they exist, since these deities are being held to be the source of the power of the spells. Isn't this similar to blessing an object by invoking the name and power of a deity (specifically the Christian God)? Otherwise, who was/were giving power to these items?
First, let me tell you how I got into Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I hadn't intended to watch it previously, I was checking to see if my theory about Joss Whedon sparing his ultimate/final antagonist was true, since we never even see the Alliance's leaders in Firefly and I assumed Alpha was the main villain (later found out he does kill the Big Bad of Dollhouse, but only after making us like him as a hero first). To prove my theory that Thanos will survive the end of Avengers 3.
Anyway, I was surprised to see a Joss Whedon series expand beyond two seasons. Out of seven Big Bads - The Master, Drusilla, Mayor Richard Wilkins, Adam, Glory, Warren, and The First, only two of them survive, including The First, who I'll say from his description is i…

An idea I've had for a while, but figured I'd get some support for it before I actually do it. It's an idea I got from the Resident Evil wiki; quite a few of their character pages are divided into sub-pages for biography, quotes, gallery, etc., and I thought maybe it would be a good idea to do the same here so as to list non-canon or dubious canon info for canon characters on sub-pages. What do you all think? Smijes08 (talk) 02:11, October 10, 2013 (UTC)
Can anyone help me with a character info template that can be placed on my profile section?
I write fanfiction and all my stories are based in Sunnydale because it's just that great town. All the spooky and wierd is happening in there. Like examble Supernatural, X-files, Stargate, Alone in the Dark (games), Legend of the Seeker, Ghostwhisperer, Tru Calling, Dawson's Creek, Charmed, Legacy of Kain, Soul Reaver, Bloodrayne (games), Saints Row, Dragon Age and many, many more.
I noticed something. As Willow grows into her magical powers, the color of such energies she manifests changes. Before Buffy was resurrected by her until her descent into darkness, the color of her magical energies was blue. When she became dark, the color was somewhat black. When she returned from her training with Aluwyn, it was green or yellow, depending on the nature of the spells she cast. In Quor'toth, it was green. When she went dark in Quor'toth, it was a somewhat richer shade of orange. When she entered Wonderland and returned to Earth as the only empowered witch in the world, it was yellow. I guess the colors represented the growth that Willow underwent as a witch, but the correspondences of such colors are unclear. But, I guess.…
Willow and Illyria are two of the most prominent characters in the Buffy universe. Willow was a shy, mousy, young academic who grew into, arguably, the most powerful witch on Earth. Illyria was one of the pimordial demons that ruled the Earth before man's time, being banished from the Earth and kept contained within a sarcophagus in the Deeper Well, only to return in the body of Winifred Burkle, experiencing a deep struggle with who she is and what she is meant to do until resolving to become a champion of good. These "women" (I say this because Illyria is female, but not a woman in the slightest), though not the main characters in their respective sides of the spectrum, somehow have become such an integral part of the Buffy universe becau…

Good day, Buffy fans!
We're excited to announce the unveiling of The Whedonverse, a brand new portal for all things Joss Whedon. While this wiki will remain the go-to resource for in-depth Buffy/Angel information, the Whedonverse hopes to build a community around things like Whedon's one-off films (like Much Ado About Nothing or The Avengers), the actors he repeatedly works with, and more.
We'd love it if you'd come check it out and lend some of your Whedon expertise to the community!

My brother and I have been debating for a while on whether or not Giles' death at the end of Season Eight could really be considered a "natural" death in the same sense as Tara's. We were talking about Angel's chances of bringing him back, and I said that even if magic still existed on Earth, Giles died "a human death by human means" and Angel would probably not be able to do it. My brother, however, said that since Angel is a vampire and was possessed at the time, it was technically a mystical death; the only natural part was that Angel snapped his neck. What do the rest of you think? Smijes08 (talk) 20:42, August 22, 2012 (UTC)
