The Bezoar was a prehistoric parasite whose offspring were capable of attaching themselves to other creatures and taking control of their motor functions via neural clamping.
History
A bezoar was uncovered living under Sunnydale High School in early 1998. It immediately took over a health teacher, who had its eggs distributed to the students for an experiment in parenting. These eggs then hatched and took over the students, except for the eggs owned by Buffy Summers and Xander Harris, which were killed. Buffy then confronted and killed the mother bezoar, killing its offspring in the process.
Powers
The mother Bezoar could create offspring that attached themselves to humans and controlled them. The baby Bezoar can, with their mandibles, drain the energy of a future host during his or her sleep, thus causing a reduction in considerable energy (except for Buffy), in order to be operational before the hatching.
Feeding
To be operational, a offspring needs to drain the energy vital of one host intended before becoming attached to him. It was seen that mother Bezoar has the capacity to ingest human beings like Buffy (who killed her in the bowel with a pickaxe) and even vampires like Tector Gorch (necessarily artificial food because as he was crushed in the bowel, he would have ended as dust). However, it seem to be recovers rather from the self-defence, because her victims disrupted her liberation.

- A bezoar is a ball of swallowed foreign material (usually hair or fiber) that collects in the stomach and fails to pass through the intestines.
- The Bezoar is inspired by movies alien parasites like "The Faculty", "Tomnyknockers", "Alien' saga or "Body Snatchers".
- Buffy mistakenly misprounounced "Bezoar" into "Bozo".
