Ben Edlund is a writer, artist, and director whose work includes Angel episodes and a Tales of the Vampires comic story. He also served as producer and supervising producer in the fourth and fifth seasons of the show.
Career[]
Edlund is best known as the creator of the satirical superhero character The Tick in 1986, having its own comic book series (1988), animated TV series (1994), two live-action TV series (2001, 2006), a video game (1994), and various merchandise based on the character. He reportedly incorporated a spoon death scene in the Angel episode "Just Rewards" as an homage to Tick's battle cry, "Spoon!"[1]
Edlund's writing credits include the television series The Tick (1994–1996), Firefly (2002–2003), Angel, Point Pleasant, The Inside, The Venture Bros., Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Supernatural, Revolution, Gotham, Powers, and The Tick (2017–2019).
