However, April traveled to [[Sunnydale]] to find her creator. Her devotion to Warren knew no limits, and she physically attacked anyone who came between them, including [[Buffy Summers]], [[Spike]] and Katrina. Ultimately, Warren, in an attempt to escape her, told her that he loved Buffy, resulting in a massive brawl between them. Buffy disabled April, and the two engaged in civil conversation with each other. Buffy comforted April over Warren's departure, but she was accepting of it. In her last words, April told Buffy, "It's always darkest just before the dawn," but she shut down before she could finish her sentence.
