A spell acted as an anti-magic shield protecting its target from other spells. It involved the caster's constant chanting in Babylonian for the duration of the spell.[1]

In 2002, Anya read the spell from a book in the original Babylonian and cast it on Jonathan and Andrew, protecting them from Willow's attempts to shot them with a death spell. The spell was broken as soon as Willow found and attacked Anya, leaving her unconscious and unable to continue chanting.[1]
