"Amy Acker's Screentest" is a featurette with Amy Acker's audition for Angel with Alexis Denisof and J. August Richards. Filmed before her addition to the series' cast in 2001, it was released in 2004 on the DVD set Angel Season Three on DVD by 20th Century Studios.
Summary[]
In a library, Fred seeks Wesley and asks for his help with a beast that came out from one of their books. She suggests they call for Angel, but Wesley is distracted praising Fred's beauty. Gunn arrives and begins praising her too, and Fred notes something isn't right. Gunn and Wesley speak increasingly formally in archaic English, arguing about who deserves her.
Fred says there must be a spell in addition to the beast, but maybe they are making fun of her by saying she is beautiful when she knows she isn't. Gunn disagrees with her, saying he intends to wed her, which confirms to Fred it's a spell. At that moment, Wesley sees the old librarian, Mrs. Wanamaker, and runs after her with Gunn to dispute who shall have her. Left alone, Fred says she hates magic.
