The Algurian body-switching spell was a spell cast to make two individuals to switch bodies. If the victim was a mortal, their would be consumed after a time, and the caster needed be ready to reverse it unless they wished to die when the collapse took place. The victim would not be consumed if the individual the caster switched with was an immortal being, such as a vampire.[1]

History[]

The amateur spellcaster Marcus Roscoe used the Algurian spell to switch bodies with young, athletic men to relive his youth. His victims included Jeff Ludd and Woodrow Raglan, whose bodies inevitably collapsed into a pile of skin after a certain amount of time.[1]

Marcus's actions were exposed after he switched bodies with the vampire Angel, whose body would never collapse under the spell. The Angel Investigations team captured Marcus, and Angel read the incantation out loud, reversing the body switch. Afterward, Angel shattered his Algurian conjuring orb, preventing Marcus from performing the spell ever again.[1]

Requirements[]

The spell required an Algurian conjuring orb and the incantation chanted in Latin: "Alli permutat anima kimota."[1]
