This comic picks up a fortnight after the end of the [[After the Fall, Part Seventeen|last issue]] which ended Joss Whedon and Bryan Lynch's canon [[After the Fall]]. The "Aftermath" art direction and writing style shifted away from realistic covers, close character resemblance and Whedon-esque writing. Another noticeable shift is the cast of characters.
