After the Fall, Part Two is the second issue of the After the Fall comic book series. Written by Brian Lynch with Joss Whedon and illustrated by Franco Urru, it was originally published on December 19, 2007, by IDW Publishing.

Synopsis[]

Joss Whedon, Brian Lynch and Franco Urru continue to tell the tale of Angel after the climactic battle that ended the Angel television series. Between the array of new enemies and fallen former friends — not to mention the state of Los Angeles itself — can Angel possibly find a reason to go on? And can some familiar faces help provide that reason?^[1]

Summary[]

Angel travels to Santa Monica to protect Connor from a Demon Lord whose son Angel killed. Gwen, upon discovering the aftermath of Gunn's attack on the Lord of Westwood, informs Angel that there is a new player in the game, and she shows him a phrase written in blood on a wall.

Angel, believing the worst of one of his comrades, heads to Beverly Hills, where he reunites with Spike, who has become the lord of the borough and is living in a large house surrounded by human and demon women. Angel and Spike briefly fight, at which time Illyria appears in defense of her "pet."

Meanwhile, Gunn has kidnapped Betta George and reveals that he blames Angel for being sired.

The deaths during the Fall of Los Angeles are all eventually reversed in After the Fall, Part Sixteen.
Spike is described as having been a prisoner and savior, an event that is covered in the miniseries Spike: After the Fall.
