Izzerial was just a demon from a species named "devil," not the religious Devil himself with power over all the evil or whatever.

Izzerial is the "only one" in the way that he is the only devil the series featured. It's the same with Clem, Kulak, Talamour, Kamal, and many other demons who we know are part of whole species despite no other specimens appearing in the series.

The series had Izzerial as a devil just for a joke in "You're Welcome" (Angel making deals with a devil-like creature just after telling Cordelia she was exaggerating) and kept the descriptor "devil"/"red devil" in his credits to reference this first appearance. Nothing indicates he is an entity known as the Devil himself. Also, in a universe with so many demons, gods, and different hells, you can't expect mythical figures to have the same importance.

As a matter of curiosity, Angel non-canon comics even feature "devil" as a job title among many demons rather than a species.

In my opinion I’ll still have that character as Imp not devil. Just saying

Its too bad their was no Dracula in Angle series

I honestly believe he should have been the series as anti hero I think it be interesting he becomes anti hero to join Angle team. He could join once he finds out three of his brides were killed and Angle helps him. This cause Dracula to learn more on humans with Weasley and Gunn and Fred seeing not all humans aren’t so bad and truly care about others and even trying to help demons

Love to know more on Immortal still can’t believe Buffy was with him. Was he truly evil or not very confused on this character

Spike and Angke relationship in that episode was quite strong as they getting better to work together as they wanted to save Buffy but it was more of jealous and rival against Immortal then love thing.

Be interesting if Dracula will gain feelings for that lady who gave the jobs offers to Angle team from season 4.

But Dracula falling in love with her that lawyer this time he doesn’t try to use his power he tries real conservation and trying to be like natural person for her. Maybe he wants to evolve from his old life to be Angle and Spike trying to improve himself
